CBTS has partnered with a client to identify an AZURE CLOUD ADMIN on a 6 month contract to hire opening. Ideally, the role would be hybrid in the Cincinnati, OH area, but will allow for remote candidates based in EST/CST
- W2 eligible candidates only! No C2c or 3rd party candidates will be considered at this time!
- Rate up to 72/hr W2 or FT/salaried range up to 110-115k
Responsibilities
- Ensure the continuous, secure, and reliable delivery of Azure compute, network, directory, database, and Fabric services.
- Manage and maintain the cloud infrastructure supporting Power BI (Microsoft Fabric) and client's Data Factory environments.
- Apply FinOps principles to forecast and optimize compute expenses in collaboration with finance, engineering, and business stakeholders.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and deployment challenges.
- Oversee the efficient operation of data storage and processing systems in compliance with company security policies and industry best practices.
- Partner with engineering and development teams to design and implement optimal cloud solutions that improve performance and scalability.
- Continuously improve, optimize, and modernize existing cloud systems for reliability and cost efficiency.
- Ensure all cloud implementations adhere to industry standards and best practices , especially in cloud security and compliance.
- Conduct regular system reviews and architecture assessments , recommending enhancements where appropriate.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver cloud support and recommend tailored solutions.
- Develop and champion a comprehensive cloud strategy , educating internal teams on adoption and integration best practices.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize cloud-based applications, infrastructure, and services.
- Design and maintain secure, organized, modular, and scalable cloud systems to support enterprise-wide operations.
- Collaborate closely with IT Security to ensure data privacy and compliance within all cloud environments.
- Respond promptly and professionally to technical incidents or escalations as they arise.
- Provide guidance on infrastructure migration techniques , including large-scale application transfers to the cloud.
- Recommend and implement best-in-class cloud architecture solutions aligned with company strategy.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree or certifications preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology , or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud computing and 3+ years in a related engineering or infrastructure role.
- Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud and Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory and Power BI) .
- Strong background in CI/CD systems, SysOps , and network/security fundamentals .
- Working knowledge of DNS, domain management, and virtual networking .
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills .
- Demonstrated ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in using a variety of technical and business applications to complete tasks.
- High levels of integrity, accountability, and motivation , aligned with client's core values.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the staffing or talent solutions industry .
- Background in traditional infrastructure operations or FinOps.
- Certifications in Azure, AWS, or GCP .
