Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Roofing Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring experience in construction and cost estimation, along with a strong ability to interpret technical drawings and analyze data. This role is critical to ensuring that our projects are accurately planned, budgeted, and executed to meet client expectations and company goals. The Roofing Estimator will work closely with internal teams and clients to assess project needs, prepare competitive bids, and contribute to the overall success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Assessment:

• Evaluate project scope, specifications, and requirements by reviewing plans and documents provided by clients.
• Conduct site visits (when necessary) to gain a clear understanding of the project conditions and requirements.

Cost Estimation:

• Perform detailed take-offs and cost estimations based on project requirements, materials, labor, and timelines.
• Utilize software tools to prepare accurate and competitive bids.
• Ensure that all estimations comply with company standards, client budgets, and industry best practices.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with internal teams, including project managers, sales teams, and field operations, to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
• Act as a liaison between the client and internal teams to clarify project details and expectations.

Tracking and Reporting:

• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and changes to scope, ensuring accurate adjustments to estimates.
• Prepare and present reports summarizing project performance, cost analyses, and opportunities for improvement.

Client Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing questions or concerns throughout the estimation and project lifecycle.
• Provide clients with clear, professional proposals and follow up to discuss estimates and project details.

Technical Proficiency and Data Analysis:

• Use advanced spreadsheet tools and data analysis techniques to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve accuracy in bids.
• Maintain detailed records of all estimates, contracts, and related documents for future reference and reporting.
