Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with a proven track record managing hotel and hospitality construction projects. The ideal candidate will oversee on-site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive construction excellence while fostering collaboration across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day on-site construction operations for hotel and hospitality projects, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and project personnel to maintain schedules and achieve project milestones.
  • Ensure all construction work meets quality standards, project requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and owners to resolve issues, clarify design intent, and maintain project alignment.
  • Monitor project progress, prepare and maintain detailed reports, and proactively identify and address challenges before they impact the schedule or budget.
  • Oversee the allocation and use of resources, equipment, and materials to maximize efficiency and control costs.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and quality checks to maintain high standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to field staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, safety, and professional growth.
  • Assist in reviewing construction drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders for accuracy and feasibility.
  • Promote a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing hotel or hospitality construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, hospitality-specific requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and enforce construction drawings, specifications, and design intent.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple on-site priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • OSHA certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and tools is a plus.
