As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking experienced Independent Freight Brokers (1099) to join Evennon Logistics under a 50/50 commission split structure . This opportunity is designed for brokers who bring their own established book of business and are seeking a strong operational platform, back-office support, and a partnership-focused environment.

Role Overview

The Independent Freight Broker will operate as a self-directed, revenue-generating partner, responsible for managing and growing their own customer portfolio. This is a true independent contractor role , providing flexibility, autonomy, and a collaborative partnership with Evennon Logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an existing book of business across TL, LTL, and specialized freight
• Source, price, and secure freight opportunities directly with customers
• Negotiate rates and capacity while ensuring service reliability
• Coordinate with internal operations and carrier teams to ensure on-time and compliant service
• Maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and performance
• Ensure compliance with applicable transportation regulations and company standards

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Freight Broker or Transportation Sales Professional
• Established, transferable book of business is required
• Strong understanding of TL and/or LTL freight markets
• Ability to operate independently as a 1099 contractor
• Strong negotiation, communication, and customer service skills
• Familiarity with transportation regulations and industry best practices

Compensation Structure

• 50/50 commission split on generated gross profit
• No base salary; earnings are directly tied to individual performance and volume
• Payments issued in accordance with standard accounting and settlement procedures
