Job Description

IDR is seeking a Lead Power BI Developer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Coppell, TX. This role is integral to designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise data models, metrics, and Power BI reports that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate combines Power BI visualization expertise with hands-on data engineering experience in Databricks, building scalable, high-quality data products for enterprise and self-service analytics.

Position Overview for the Lead Power BI Developer:

• Play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise data models, metrics, and Power BI reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions that support strategic business goals.
• Blend Power BI visualization skills with data engineering expertise in Databricks to build high-quality data products.
• Support both enterprise and self-service analytics initiatives through interactive dashboards and certified datasets.
• Utilize advanced SQL and data transformation skills to ensure high performance and accuracy of data and reports.

Requirements for the Senior Power BI Developer:

• 8+ years of BI development experience, with a focus on Power BI
• 5+ years experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling, and KPI framework creation.
• 2+ years of recent Lead experience, mentoring and leading other PowerBI Developers on the team
• Hands-on experience developing interactive dashboards and certified datasets for enterprise users.
• Advanced SQL skills for querying, validation, and performance optimization.
• Strong hands-on skills in Databricks, including PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog, with the ability to collaborate with Data Engineers.
