RN: Psych City/State: Raleigh- Durham, North Carolina Hours: 40 hours Start: ASAP Shift: 8a-5p Length: 13 weeks Additional Notes: *MUST HAVE 2 YEARS OF PSYCH EXPERIENCE*, All caregivers will receive $0.62/mile for transportation between patients. Caregiver will go to individuals homes in the Durham County area per day and be responsible for logging all of their activity at the end of each day. While at the homes they will be administering injections and medications to psychiatric patients, many of whom are recovering alcoholics and drug addicts. The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse,requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise.PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition tothe assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance usedisorders. The nurse demonstratesability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner anddemonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination ofpatient care. The PMH RN works in avariety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families,and communities when applicable.
