Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to support surgical teams in delivering safe, high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical knowledge, technical proficiency across surgical specialties, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Experience:

• At least 1 year of relevant surgical technician experience

Licensure / Certifications:

• Service line competency achievement
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (required upon hire)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of medical asepsis as applied to the operating room
• Proficiency with surgical instruments and procedures across multiple specialties
• Expertise in OR setup , sterile field maintenance, and instrument handling
• Proper handling of tissue specimens, cultures, and smears
• Understanding of inventory management and supply control
• Ability to scrub for all specialty areas
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to follow technical written and verbal instructions
• Demonstrated competency in providing age-appropriate care for patients across the lifespan, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Knowledge of growth and development principles and ability to assess and interpret patient-specific needs
• Sufficient computer skills to manage emails and edit preference cards

Education:

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technician program
